In Pursuit of Mysteries: Actually Emotionally Moved By This Election

Word. This election has been like passing a kidney stone. I think we all deserve a moment to enjoy the morphine kicking in.

I'm still floating around after this historic, amazing election. My life hasn't directly changed much in the last few days since the election but somehow i feel it has. I know that we have a fresh new opportunity to do something different and something different sounds so refreshing right now. I am proud too that so-called "red areas" of the country have united with "blue areas" to push for change. Not since 9/11 have I felt this united as a country and that was after a horrible event but this time its after a glorious event.

Yeah, I made a comment to this on your Facebook account.

The author fails to understand (or is too much of an idealist to be swayed) that no Green Party candidate is going to achieve a major office, such as a national one.

That being said, I don't like the Green Party platform planks, at least when I looked at them last. They are rather authoritarian. You can't force people to change by threatening them with environmental police, etc. You need to educate people so they *choose* to change and agree with it. The Green Party seems to miss this a lot and is out in wingnut land for America.
